In Allah's Name
We Stand
United
In the Light of the Qur’an and Sunnah
“And he has united their (i.e the believers) hearts. If you had spent all that is in the earth, you could not united their hearts, but Allah has united them. Certainly, He is Allah Mighty, All-Wise.” (Al Anfal 8:63)
In the Name of Allah
Most Gracious, Most Merciful
This is for you O Allah
“Verily my Salat (prayer), my service of sacrifice,
my living and my dying, are (all) for Allah, the Lord of the Alamim (mankind, jinn and all that exist.” (6:162)
And Prophet Muhammad, sallallahu alayhe wa sallam, said:
“He will never be a believer who does not love for his brother what he loves for himself.”

Foreword
All praises and thanks are due to Allah[2] – SWT, the Most High, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful, Owner of the Day of Resurrection. We give praises and thanks to Him, Who created creation so that they worship Him. He made His signs clear and plain to them, so that they know Him, and He made the path to Him easy, so that they reach Him.
I bear witness that none has the right to be worshipped except Allah alone without partners. His is the kingdom and He is Worthy of all praise, and He is able to do all things. I testify that Prophet Muhammad is Allah’s slave and Messenger. Allah has sent Muhammad – (SAAW-sallallahu alayhe wa salam[3]), with the guidance and the religion of truth to be a Warner for mankind and the jinn. May Allah’s peace and blessings be on the Prophet, and on his progeny, Companions and those who followed him with excellence and constancy on the right path.
May Allah - SWT give radiance to a slave who may read this book, comprehend it, adopt it, so he may deliver the information as he/she fully understand it and shared the good values that contain in it to whoever did not learn it.
Remember as the Prophet Muhammad, sallallahu alayhe wa salam, said, in his speech: “Three qualities will not cause the Muslim to be cheated on their account: performing deeds in sincerity with Allah, giving sincere advice to Muslim leaders and adhering by their Jama’ah[4].”
Having the Holy Revelation, the Qur’an and the Sunnah[5] of the Prophet Muhammad (sallallahu alayhe wa sallam) as my guide and source of my legal systematic affluent approach for better understanding by the readers, I seek the guidance of the Holy One (Allah – SWT) to make it easy and beneficial to its author, its readers and its publisher. May He make this effort sincerely for His sake alone, and may He keep it with Him for the Day when I will meet Him, for He is the All Hearing Who Answers Prayers.
Introduction
s a prelude to this humble work that Allah – SWT, ordained obligations and reminds the forgetful and alert the heedless for intensifying their awareness in unifying brotherhood, I fully heartedly dedicate this book solely for the pleasure of Allah.
In writing this book, reference had been made from the two divine Islamic Scripture: The Glorious Qur’an and the Authentic Ahadith of the Prophet Muhammad, sallallahu alyhe wa salam, compiled by Bukhari, Muslim, Abu Dawud, Tirmidhi, Al Bayhaqi,Tabarani abd others
All the quotations of the Qur’an are base on the “Translation of the meaning of the Noble Qur’an in the English Language” by Dr. Muhammad Taqui-ud-Din al Hilali and Dr. Muhammad Muhsin Khan, published by the King Fahad Complex for the Printing of the Holy Qur’an, Madina K.S.A. I preferred to use this because I believe that the translation of this work has the closest meaning of the Qur’anic Ayat (verses), which the readers can understand easily without losing the excellent beauty and elegance of the Words of Allah.
This book discusses the viable encouragements for a Muslim to have a strong “eeman[1]” without pretext to comply with and apply in their daily lives for them to have a jovial Islamic Community.
I tried to cover different scoop, area of Islamic subject that are essential on strengthening the Islamic Community in particular the importance of Keeping Family Ties that will elevate the status of Family into a healthy flamboyant atmosphere.
I have included stories taken from different sources and from the Haddith[2] to exemplify and to impart with, not only to the Muslim readers but to non-Muslim as well who may have time to glance through that may serve as a tool and reference to their studies. For “seeking knowledge is compulsory to every Muslims[3]” and are essentials to everyone.
I invoke and pray to Allah – SWT, to bless this book as a source of encouragements and guidance to all Muslims to stick with to the legacy that the Prophet Muhammad, sallallahu alayhe wa salam, taught in his Ummah and adhere to The Qur’an and the Sunah.
Who is Allah?
Thousands of years ago God presented people with knowledge of Him through the prophets that He sent to humanity, and approximately 1,400 years up to this date prophet Muhammad, sallallahu alayhe wa salam, has been sent on the same mission.
That was the time of wars between people of that region of the Earth. And it was a feat in front of God to fight with weapons and die — for the ideas of that new religious truth. Also that was the time when a new culture of relations between people was forming, and the followers of Muhammad were craving to imitate him in everything…
But now the time is different. Now mankind is on another step of its development. It has more deep and broad philosophical-religious knowledge. And God wants from us other deeds and feats: the feats of perfecting ourselves, first of all. God wants us to develop our spiritual hearts, to become souls consisting of love, because He is the Perfect Love. Therefore, the true Islam has nothing to do with terrorism. In the Quran, the eternal truths have to be emphasized — the truths about God and about efforts on perfecting ourselves as souls aimed at becoming closer to Him through love for Him. It is these efforts that He wants from us now. And our spiritual lives must be adapted to the modern level of development of human society, what is documented in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
In Arabic, Allah means literally the one God. It is pretty easy to understand how different languages give the same thing different names. Is it that unusual to hear Muslims call God another name, like "Allah", while you call him God or Lord? Some people have no minds; in the last decade, a growing phenomenon was seen on the internet and in published literature. Allah is said to be the “moon god” that Arabs worshiped, and Kaaba (The Muslims holiest place on Earth) is His temple. The evidence for this theory is the crescent that appears on the top of many mosques all over the world plus a fabricated picture of the "moon god".
This idea is very dangerous. If you believe that Muslims are worshiping an idol, then there is no basis even to talk to them. They are pagan idolaters like Hindus and Buddhists. It is alleged that although Islam is a monotheistic religion, the Muslims' only God is simply another idol that Muhammad, sallallahu alayhe wa salam, chose (or in some versions of the story, he made it up).
To invalidate this foolish theory, one has to take the story from different angles.
The crescent is not a symbol of Islam, but of the Ottoman Empire. The Ottomans are those tribes that moved to Turkey from east and middle Asia. They converted to Islam and built a huge Muslim Empire that ruled the whole Muslim world for centuries. When they took Islam as a religion they started using the lunar calendar, the calendar that was used by Muslims, Jews and early Christians. Even today, the flag of Turkey has a crescent on it. There was no crescent on any mosque built before the Ottomans era.
Prophet Abraham built the Kaaba for people to worship God. While pagan Arabs admitted this fact and even kept the stone where he used to stand to build the Ka’aba (Abraham's station), they brought idols to the Kaaba and worshiped them to get closer to Abraham's Lord, Allah, God of gods. Prophet Muhammad, sallallahu alayhe wa salam, came with the monotheistic message of Islam. Arabs defended these idols and refused to give up the religion of their fathers and grandfathers. They offered to Muhammad a deal, that is to worship their gods for one year, and they worship Allah alone for one year. A chapter of the Quran came with the response from God to this evil invitation:
[Say : O ye that reject Faith! I worship not that which ye worship, Nor will ye worship that which I worship. And I will not worship that which ye have been wont to worship, Nor will ye worship that which I worship. To you be your Way, and to me mine. ]109:1-6
Later on, the Quran started calling Allah by other names. One of those holy names was Al-Rahman (the Gracious). Arabs wondered:"is this a new God?" The Quran responded again:
[Say: "Call upon Allah, or call upon Rahman: by whatever name ye call upon Him, (it is well): for to Him belong the Most Beautiful Names. ]17:110
It is not a new god; it is a new name for the same God. Allah has ninety nine names in Islam; all of them are holy and speak about different attributes of the same creator, almighty Allah. As an example, read these verses of the Quran:
[Allah is He, than Whom there is no other god; Who knows (all things) both secret and open; He, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
Allah is He, than Whom there is no other god; the Sovereign, the Holy One, the Source of Peace (and Perfection), the Guardian of Faith, the Preserver of Safety, the Exalted in Might, the Irresistible, the Supreme: Glory to Allah! (High is He) above the partners they attribute to Him.
He is Allah, the Creator, the Evolver, the Bestower of Forms (or Colors). To Him belong the Most Beautiful Names: whatever is in the heavens and on earth, doth declare His Praises and Glory; and He is the Exalted in Might, the Wise.]59:22-24
When Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) came back to Makkah, he entered the city peacefully on the top of an army of 10,000 men, exactly as the Bible described him "pre-eminent above ten thousand." (Solomon 5:10). He did not burn a single home; he did not harm a single person; he just went to the Ka’aba and destroyed all the gods of Arabs had there. He kept nothing in the Ka’aba. Where is this picture of the moon god coming from? I don't know. Did anyone of the pagan Arabs have a digital camera by then?
There is evidence that the word Allah existed before the birth of Muhammad, sallallahu alayhe wa salam, for thousands of years. It is probably the oldest name man used to call God. Most likely, Adam used the word Allah to call the Lord. On the other hand, the word "GOD" was born with the English language, less than ten centuries ago. Can we say that all English speaking nations are pagans because they use the word "God"? What about Chinese monotheists? How should they call God?
Prophet Muhammad's father’s name was Abdullah (The slave of Allah). This name was common among Arab pagans and Jews. Abdullah bin Salam was one of the first Jews to convert to Islam in Madina. When Arabs call Allah in prayer they say: “Ya Allah” or “Allahoma”. Aren't these words familiar to you? “Alleluia” and “Elohim” are the words used to call Allah in the Bible. In Hebrew, the suffix “im” means many. So Elohim literally means many Allah(s). This is a known way to express dignity and respect to almighty Allah by calling Him plural. This phenomenon is known in Hebrew, Arabic, English and other languages. In Quran, the same pattern is seen many times. For example, God says in the holy Quran:
[ We have, without doubt, sent down the Message; and We will assuredly guard it (from corruption). ]15:9.
In the English translation of the Bible, you read, "Let us make man in our image”-Genesis 1:26-KJV.
The word Allah is used in all Arabic translations of the Bible. It was used in some English translations of the Bible like the original "Scofield Reference Bible"-reference: what is his name? by Deedat. In the New Testament, Jesus is believed to cry before his death "ELOI, ELOI, LAMA SABACHTHANI?” Eloi is the exact Arabic word "Elahi" which comes from the same root as Allah.
I have no doubt that the word "Allah" is the oldest known name man called God with. For those who choose to ignore this fact and transgress, Muslims have nothing to offer. Allah says in the holy Quran:
[If any, after this, invent a lie and attribute it to Allah, they are indeed unjust wrong-doers.] 3:94
For Muslims, Allah is perfect. He has no partners. We worship Him and Him alone. Our faith is summarized in the holy Quran:
[Say: He is Allah, the One and Only; Allah, the Eternal, Absolute; He begetteth not, nor is He begotten; And there is none like unto Him.]112:1-4
“Were they created by nothing? Or were they themselves the creators? Or did they create the heavens and the earth? Nay, but they have no firm belief.” (At-Tur 52:35-36)
This is the evidence which forces rational mind to accept that there is a Creator who is the responsible of the existence of all things in things in this Universe.
The ayyah[1] is worded in such a persuasive and heartbreaking way that anyone who hears it will be moved deeply. Bukhari narrated in his Saheeh that Jubayr ibn Mut’im said:
“I heard the Messenger of Allah, sallallahu alayhe wa sallah, reciting Soorat At-Toor in Maghrib prayer, when he reached this passage “Were they created by nothing? Or were they themselves the creators? Or did they create the heavens and the earth? Nay, but they have no firm belief” my hearts begun to soar. (Bukhari, 8/603, no. 4854)
Al Bayhaqi said: Abu Sulayman al-Khattabi said: “The reason why he was so touched when he heard these ayyat was because he understood the ayyat so well and because what he learned from the strong evidence contained therein touched his sensitive native, and with his intelligence he understood it…”
Hence Al Khallaaq (The Creator – Allah) said: “He created you (all) from as single person (Adam); then made from him his wife [Hawwa – Eve]” (Al Imran 3:6) (find the correct)
Undoubtedly, Allah has the purpose of creating men and put it into existence to emancipate all human being in this world for the reason that Al Hakeem (The Wise – Allah), wants to know who will follow the true Religion of Islamic Monotheism but for us not to deny His Oneness the Fitrah has engraved by Allah in everyone’s heart and He said:
“So set you (O Muhammad) your face towards the religion (of pure Islamic Monotheism) Hanneef (worship none but Allah alone). Allah’s Fitrah (i.e. Allah’s Islamic Monotheism) with which He has created mankind. No change let there be in Khallaq-Illaah (i.e. the religion of Allah – Islamic Monotheism), that is the straight religion but most of them know not.” (Ar-Rum 30:30)
The Prophet Muhammad, sallallahu alayhe wa sallam, said: “Each child is born in the state of Fitra, but his parents make him a Jew or a Christian. It is like the way an animal gives birth to a normal offspring. Have you noticed any (young animal) born mutilated before you mutilate them.” (Collected by Muslim) Sahih Muslim (English Translation), vol. 4, p1389, no, 6423)
So this is the real reason why God Created us but, the natural instinct (the fitrah) has surrounded by so many influences which they make themselves divert to worship other Gods. The parents, priests, laymen, teachers, and others who deviated from the fitrah teaches and instill to the young mind of a child which change and taint this fitrah, placing a veil over a fitrah so that they are not able to turn towards the truth.
“O mankind! We have created you from a male and female, and made you into nations and tribes, that you may know one another. Verily the noblest of you in the sight of Allah is the one who is most God-fearing. Behold, God is All Knowing, All-Aware” (Al Hujarat 49:13)
This is the most essential form of community intended by God for man – a single fellowship commanded to come together for the common good on the basis of monotheism. The Qur’an grants the material means may allow man gain in worldly matters.
We need to appreciate that this is the will of Allah -SWT, by building His Nation so He may know who among His slave will rivets His commands with full submission.
And as He – the Most Compassionate, He who created us fortifies us and sent down His sustenance for us to survive and give thanks to Him for He is the Most Bountiful, the Most Generous.
“O mankind! Worship your lord (Allah), who created you and those who before you so that you may become Al Muttaqun[2]. Who has made the earth the resting place for you and the sky as a canopy, and sent down the water from the sky and brought forth therewith fruits as a provision for you.” (Al Baqarah 2:21-22)
What is our role in the Universe and in the society? Islamic tradition states that the fear of God is the crown of all knowledge. Just as a chair knows nothing about the carpenter, we are unable to understand or perceive God through our senses. Before the physical creation of each and every one of us, however, He gathered all the souls of the descendants of Adam (alayhe sallam[3]) and reminded them of their duty to remember Him as their Lord.
“And (remember) when your Lord brought forth from the Children of Adam, from their loins, their seed (or from Adam’s loin his offspring) and made them testify as to themselves (saying): Am I not your Lord?” They said: They said: “Yes! We testify,” lest you should say on the Day of Resurrection: “Very, we have been unaware of this.” (Al-A’raf 7:173)
To help us remember, He sent His guidance through His messengers.
“And We not send not the Messenger but as givers of glad tidings and as warmers So whoever believes and does righteous good deeds, upon such shall come so fright, nor shall they grieve.” (Al-An’am 6:48).
We know God as He describes Himself. As He is Al Khaliq, the Creator, that His ability encompasses His creation that no one can deny it.
“Thus We have made you a just nation that you be witness over mankind.” (Al Baqarah 2:143)
And through His Magnificent facility, from a single clot of blood - a pair of man and a woman He marvels us and He scattered mankind, sprouted in every land – then people dwell in it.
“Verily, I am going to place (mankind) generation after generation in earth.” (Al Baqarah 2: 30)
On the other hand, Allah is unique; He has no equal and He shares His name with none else. It is mentioned in the Qur’an: “Wa lam Yakullahu Kufuwan Ahad” - And there is none co- equal comparable unto Him. (Al-Ikhlas: 112:4)
Allah is the Just, and we can be just, He is Ar-Raheem – (Merciful), and we can be merciful, He is Ar-raoof – (the one Most Full of Kindness) and we can show kindness to those suffered from applications in life, He is Al Kareem (the Generous,) and we can be generous for giving part of our earnings to the destitute, and He is Al Hafeedh – (Protector, Guardian) for we can be protector of our family against temptation, corruption, and all causes of immorality within our community.
The way Allah - SWT deals with us, His dependent creation, have a bearing on how we ought to treat each other and the rest of His creation. The link Between Creator and created is a direct one that nobody can interfere with.
The Creator knows his creatures, He is constantly aware of them; He attends to their needs and listens to their prayers. There is no need for special intermediaries, because He is approachable by everybody, and this equality in our relationship to Him liberates us from being subservient to anybody else, making humanity in the Islamic point of view a community of free people, irrespective of race, heritage, or status.
For a Muslim, it is an honor to be a devoted slave of Allah - SWT, because his master is the Lord of all the worlds, and none can compete with him. This gives a Muslim his strength and dignity which no-one can take from him. But ironically, people find superficial and having inconsequential outlook towards their lives and live through the norms the way they wanted it to be.
“Beautified for men is the love of things they covet; women, children, much of gold and silver (wealth), branded beautiful horses, cattle and well-tilled land. This is the pleasure of the present world’s life. But Allah has the excellent return (paradise with flowing rivers) with Him. (Al Imran 3:14)
Enough to ponder on how we live a happy life in this world and have a community of peace, in such a way if we really knew Allah – SWT, from the very beginning when we set off our heart and mind in the light of Islam, believing that Allah - SWT is the only “Auliya” suffice to say that the Beautiful Names of Allah – SWT, contains an important truth about life we had, just as Allah – SWT, is the Ultimate Truth (Al Haqq), and from these Names derived the guiding principles of Islamic philosophy, if we may apply it to our daily lives, having contentment in this world our lives will be filled with peaceful and profusion virtue that crowned with success and the reward in this world and in the hereafter will grant on us by (Al - Aliyy) – The Most High, the Sublime, Allah – SWT.
The Obligation of
Believing His Names
Our great predecessors or the so called salaf mentioned that it is obligatory for all Muslims to believe in all the Most Beautiful Names of Allah and its attributes.
